I really cannot bear childrens' books which glorify in disobedience and rudeness, and which seem to accept it to be normal and perfectly acceptable. I try to positively seek out books where children show good character and politeness. A lot of our books come through Sonlight, and are therefore pre-selected and often chosen for these kind of values.Kondwanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02290415492637315025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1106847383189293536.post-70008743965057253052017-05-11T20:08:17.663+01:002017-05-11T20:08:17.663+01:00Thank you so much for this! Our daughter is only 17 months at the moment but I am so conscious of many of the things you have mentioned but often feel like I'm oversensitive. I've got rid of several books aimed at toddlers because of the attitude of the children towards their parents. I know she will witness it at some point in real life but I'm not going to teach it as normal, acceptable behaviour at home! Thank you for the encouragement. I strongly believe God wants us to homeschool our children although I don't know until what age.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
