I find the website www.desiringgod.org - established by the large American baptist church where John Piper the well known author has been pastor for many years - to offer a very helpful resource library.
It is very easy to find what you are looking for. You can browse according to date, to scripture passage or by topic. For example, the sermons relating to parenting can be found here:

I would recommend the resources made freely available on this website. The speakers and writers always make it clear which part of the Bible they are referring to, and the arguments and discussions are clear and logical. I often refer to these resources when I want help in understanding a difficult part of the Bible, or if I am grappling with something in my life.
John Piper himself does not home educate his children, but he does give a very good and solid foundation for how parenting is best done for the glory of God. He believes that children should be very much an included part of all our church activities, rather than being segregated into different 'age-appropriate' activities, and that parents have the primary responsibility for overseeing the education of their children.
I hope you find this link helpful.
The diary of a family with young children beginning the adventure of home education
About Me
- Kondwani
- I am a Christian mother of five, and our highest goal as a family is to serve God in every aspect of our lives. Jesus promised His disciples 'life in all its abundance' (John 10:10) - that has been our story, a rich life, not devoid of challenges, but certainly abundant. Previously writing at www.homeeducationnovice.blogspot.com, we have come to realise that education is just one area where our faith shapes our choices and direction in life. This blog seeks to share our adventure (using font only to enable access in settings with poor internet)

We are doing everything we can to give our son the foundation and understanding he needs to succeed in his faith. I've been reading a great new book by Dr. Tony Evans. One of the goals of the book is to help parents grow in confidence as they discover their worth as a parent based on God's Word. It’s called "Raising Kingdom Kids: Giving Your Child a Living Faith." He says, "It's far easier to SHAPE A CHILD than to REPAIR AN ADULT. Raising kids who recognize and retain their identity as children of the King launches healthy adults who have the capacity to stand strong in their faith." Equipping and guiding our children starts with us, parents! This is the most solid, thorough, inspirational and affirming parent book I've ever read! I love it and HIGHLY recommend it for all parents! www.raisingkingdomkids.com
